WHAT IS SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION?
As women age, our bodies undergo hormonal fluctuations, natural aging, health issues, and the ongoing stresses of life. In fact, pregnancy, childbirth, perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause can dramatically alter our reaction to physical pleasure and sexual intimacy.
This leads to sexual dysfunction, a common sexual health problem that affects over 50% of women.
SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION SYMPTOMS
Some of the most common sexual dysfunction symptoms in women include:
Low libido
An inability to become sexually aroused
Decrease or loss in sexual pleasure
Failure to orgasm
Pain or discomfort during sex
Along with these physical indicators, many women may also experience emotional symptoms such as increased stress, depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. More often than not, all of these unwanted symptoms get worse as time goes on.
WHEN DOES SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION OCCUR?
If you are experiencing sexual dysfunction symptoms, you’re not alone. Sexual dysfunction is extremely common and affects women of all ages.
Typically, the dysfunction occurs as women enter their 40s and 50s. However, many women in their 20s and 30s also show early signs of sexual dysfunction. As women get older, their symptoms may worsen and sex can even become uncomfortable or painful.
So, what causes sexual dysfunction in women and why does it become worse as we age?
SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION CAUSES IN WOMEN
Several physical, psychological, environmental, and genetic factors can cause or worsen sexual dysfunction symptoms. These include:
Hormone imbalances
Weight gain
Diabetes
Underlying medical conditions
High-stress levels
Anxiety and depression
At AgeRejuvenation, our goal is to uncover the cause of your sexual dysfunction and give you a treatment that solves the root of the problem.
HORMONE IMBALANCES & SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION
For women, hormonal imbalances can rapidly occur during pregnancy, perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause. Common symptoms of hormonal imbalances in women include:
Low libido
Reduced sex drive
Sexual dysfunction
With that being said, hormones like estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone heavily affect our desire for intercourse.
When it comes to female sex hormones like estrogen, too high or too low of levels can cause changes to vital vaginal tissues that aid in sexual pleasure. For instance, low estrogen levels can result in less blood flow to the pelvic region, which can lead to less arousal and the inability to have an orgasm.
Furthermore, as hormone levels decrease as we age, the vaginal lining thins out and can lead to dyspareunia, or painful sex. This, in turn, can cause emotional distress and anxiety when intimacy is initiated by your partner.
UNDERLYING MEDICAL CONDITIONS & SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION
Unfortunately, many chronic and hidden medical conditions can also cause sexual dysfunction. These include:
At AgeRejuvenation, we conduct an entire examination of your body, including a body composition analysis and blood work panel, to see if any underlying medical conditions are causing your symptoms.
DOES SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION LAST FOREVER?
Sex is a natural, integral part of our lives. It impacts both our health and our relationships. If you want to restore your self-esteem, increase intimacy with your partner, and improve your overall well-being, then it’s time to resolve your sexual dysfunction problems.

WHAT ARE MY SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION TREATMENT OPTIONS?
At AgeRejuvenation, we offer several female sexual dysfunction treatments, including:
O-Shot
Viora
O-Wave
Women can also improve libido with hormone therapy and a healthy diet. Once you have chosen a treatment path, your medical practitioner will help you achieve maximum results through our AgeRejuvenation proprietary sexual dysfunction solution.
O-SHOT
The O-Shot is a sexual dysfunction treatment for women that utilizes a concentrated form of your body’s growth factors, which are used to regenerate damaged cells and improve sexual functions.
Here’s how the O-Shot works:
STEP 1: A simple blood draw is performed
STEP 2: Plasma Rick Platelets, or PRP, are extracted
STEP 3: PRP growth factors are reintroduced to the area
STEP 4: These growth factors regenerate damaged and aging cells to improve lubrication, sensitivity, the strength or orgasm, and incontinence, as well as aiding some in tightening.
This procedure works both internally and externally to restore blood flow to the clitoris, G-spot, and surrounding tissue – working to rebuild and restore your sexual experience. The O-Shot can also be combined with stem cells for a much higher concentration of growth factors as well as Stage 0 stem cells, resulting in maximum improvement and regeneration.
Viora
Viora is a skin-tightening technology that uses radiofrequency to stimulate collagen production. This localized treatment works to tighten the skin, improving the appearance and experience for you and your partner.
Some results can be experienced immediately, and continue to improve with time.
o-wave
The O-Wave uses soundwave technology to break up any micro-plaques or calcifications in the bloodstream, thus restoring blood flow. This new balance of blood flow carries nutrients and works to restore damaged, aging tissue.
With O-Wave, you can expect the following results:
Improved sensation and stimulation
Increased lubrication
Greater laxity in the skin
More sexual pleasure
Stronger orgasms
With this technology, we are able to reverse the aging process of the female sex organs, stimulate blood flow, restore sensation, and strengthen orgasms.
